New phone, same Sim, no network connection

Just upgraded to S24, transferred existing working SIM, plan is active, but have no connection to mobile networks or data, only WiFi.

SIM still fine in old phone!

There does appear to be others saying their SIM isn’t working in their new Samsung phones too. But in those instances it’s because they went from an eSIM back to a SIM.

Anyway @strayner30, it might be worth asking for a new SIM, either via iD’s online channels or (probably quicker) if you pop into your local Currys. I’m aware SIMs have 3 classes/types, maybe your new phone requires a newer version?

Hey there @strayner30, sorry to hear that.

Have you performed an upgrade?

When you put the SIM in the new phone, do you have no signal or network at all?

Thanks,

Tyler
