Question

No network connectivity

On 11th March there was an issue or upgrade to the transmitter in the SO31 area (Southampton). As a result, there was no mobile coverage. Idmobile also wants to increase the price I pay despite not delivering a network. Network performance is generally poor. As Idmobile are in breach of contract what are my next steps to cancel my contract?

Hi @windjammer,

Welcome to the Community!

Have you checked the coverage and network status with your postcode?

If the issues are still ongoing since 11th March, please let us know and we can PM you to investigate further.

However if the coverage and network status checker don’t show an issue, please test the SIM in another handset or we may need to get a replacement SIM sent.

Hi,

Since the 11th March the network has been satisfactory. My point is that due to the lack of the idmobile (Three) network which I have for both broadband and mobile connectivity I was unable to discuss and  fix website issues for my clients . I was completely left in the dark by idmobile as to when connectivity would be restored. You have since advised that my network charges will increase albeit you are in breach of your contract as you are not delivering an adequate service.

@windjammer  IDMobile / Three and any other provider can't not guarantee a full operational services or good coverage. There are many factors like sabotage of the network, accidents, substation malfunction, equipment malfunction buildings, hill's and valley's and other radio equipment. But I don't know the process for compensation for a customer being out of service due to an outage, maintenance work etc etc. Also if you're registered as a business user  compensation is slightly different. Ofcom has guidelines that providers must comply to.

If you're still unhappy  @Kash  or other IDMobile staff can looking into your dissatisfaction of service.
