We can't connect to the network at all in Postcodes OX10 and RG8. Have been through all the troubleshooting steps including trying different phones and factory resets of four phones.

Other phones we have use Smarty and Three, so all using the same three network, and none can connect at all.

The coverage checkers and network status all say everything is fine, but clearly not.

What to do next?

Thanks for your advice everyone. It was related to 3g switch off, even though I have a volte compatible device.

I’ll post a follow up question in a separate thread about certain models of phone another provider on the Three network (Smarty) say are specifically excluded from compatibility.

Hi there @thebathroomstudio

Well, the normal method to raise this is via iD’s Live Chat team, as they can raise a ticket with their network provider Three UK. But the human aspect of the chat finished at 6pm.

So all I can suggest, assuming Three’s network status doesn’t catch up, is to contact iD via live chat in the morning.

Thanks. I was on to the chat for an hour before it closed. It just went round in circles. I'll try again in the morning.

Start the chat with talk to person or speak to person

(it bypasses their automated chat bot😉)

Let us know how you get on, or if the network status gets updated.

Hey there @thebathroomstudio, can you confirm the full postcodes you’re having issues in please?

Also, what phone do you have?

Or please continue to contact our live-chat if you prefer.

Thanks,

Tyler

Oh, yes, the g-r-e-a-t 3-G s-w-i-t-c-h-o-f-f🤐

(and I’m spotting a very common theme with this massive leap in technology)

Some are buying ‘unlocked to all UK networks’ phones and with 3G they’re great😀

Without 3G they’re a great paper weight, frisbee, dog chew toy, door wedge, child’s toy, fob it off on to another unknowing punter, non UK model🙄
