Non existence network, feel tricked, scammed by iDmobile

iDmobile had a sale on, providing excellent service and a new Samsung galaxy phone. Anybody with a contract ending would find that appealing. I signed up to a 24months contract, they delivered the phone promptly even when it says it will take 2 weeks only. I was abroad, but my phone was delivered, left outside.

A week later, I came back and tried to transfer all data across to new phone, with new network. I understand when transferring stuff, network could be patchy for maybe up to a week. It has now been 4 weeks, and I still cannot make and receive calls smoothly or stress free. Calls keep dropping, friends and family have not been able to get in contact and everybody is frustrated. I am billed for this month, and when I tried to leave the contract, iDmobile promptly sent a bill of the rest of the contract remaining. It is as if that was their strategy to earn money from customers like us, trying to get a deal while price of everything is so high.

I find it appalling that they've not provided a service, but charged me for it, and not allowing me to leave without a penalty.  Does anybody else feel or have gone through the same? I cannot call them because there is no service from their network. It is atrocious company.

I just want to go back to being connected with people and get my life back. Things needs to be organised and without a phone network, I can't call the banks, I cannot call solicitors or just my colleagues! My life is falling apart.

Hi @Emch

Sorry to hear you had this experience, however if you leave within your contracted period, you would be charged for the remaining bills in that contracted period, this is completely normal.

If you find the signal isn’t right for you, we have a cooling off period in which you’d be able to contact us to arrange a return and cancellation of the plan.

Your device was delivered whilst you were not present and it was left outside for a week? Please could you check your DPD tracking for what happened here? They should only release the device once provided a code by the person expecting the delivery.
