not connecting to network

Hi I am showing full bars for 4G but cannot connect to data or make calls anywhere. I have an Apple16. My husband has iD sim and his is working. I have checked all network settings but looks same as his? I’ve tried to reach out to iD on twitter but they say no issues in any areas i struggle to connect to. any advice would be gratefully received. I’ve experienced this for about 1 month now. Thank you

Apologies @DrDebs62! I’d recommend performing a Manual Roam:

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Tap ‘Mobile Service’.

  3. Tap ‘Network Selection’.

  4. Turn off the ‘Automatic toggle’.

  5. Choose a different network (Vodafone, EE or O2 - UK).

  6. Wait for 1 minute.

  7. Switch the automatic toggle back on.

And a Network Settings Reset:

  1. Open ‘Settings’.

  2. Tap ‘General’.

  3. Tap ‘Transfer or Reset iPhone’.

  4. Tap ‘Reset’.

  5. Select ‘Reset Network Settings’.

  6. Enter your passcode, then tap ‘Reset Network Settings’.

If neither help, I'd recommend a replacement SIM or eSIM:

Thanks.

Thank you that’s very helpful, will I need to then reset all my passwords?

@DrDebs62 -

No, your passwords will be okay. You will have to reconnect to any previous Wi-Fi networks, such as the one at your home. You’ll typically find the password on the back of the router. Thanks!
