Not receiving NHS calls

In the past few months I've been missing several calls from NHS. They are calling but my phone doesn't ring, calls don't appear as missed calls either.

Please help!

Hey there @Delefth, we’re sorry to hear that. Is the issue only with NHS numbers please?

What phone do you have and what’s the full postcode?

Thanks,

Tyler

No problem calling out  ie the hospital, or GP

I think the problem is at least since April

Last time i missed a call was on 10/05/25 around 11:15

Hey there @Delefth, sorry to hear that. If your last missed call was on 10/05/25, have you been able to receive calls from them since then okay, or have you not had them call you since the last time it was missed?

Thanks,

Tyler

I haven't received any calls since

I haven't had anything scheduled since

I'm expecting a call in the next month so I just wanted to make sure the service will be sorted by then

Thanks

Hey there @Delefth, if you’ve not had any other missed calls from NHS since you missed one in May, then we wouldn’t be able to suggest if it’s an on-going issue if no other attempts have been made for 2/3 months. If you’re really unsure, you could ring the number that’s due to call you, and ask them to test call you prior to test if it works and report back to us.

If other calls are working as normal and the issue is only with NHS numbers, then we’d recommend letting them know as it could be an issue their end, if other calls work fine.

Thanks,

Tyler

Nhs calls from consultants don't work like this. I am unable to call them back as I wouldn't know from which number I will receive the call from. It's usually a mobile number or I cannot see the number they are calling me from!

This conversation is not very helpful. Is there any settings need tweaking from your end or something similar I can refer to?

Can you check on 10/05 at around 11:15 why the call from number 07463545300 didn't come through? I did receive a text saying that I didn't pick up!

If not resolved I'm changing provider as this is an important matter

Hey there @Delefth, no problem, it was just a suggestion if possible if it was your GP for example. If they’re calling from a withheld number, then unfortunately we wouldn’t be able to suggest anything, as the number wouldn’t show on our systems.

Unfortunately, we can only see the last 30-days usage, so we wouldn’t be able to see then I’m afraid. However, if the call wasn’t received or didn’t go through, it wouldn’t show our end in our system anyway I’m afraid.

In terms of this conversation, we’re trying to help the best as we can, whilst being in a public forum, and not having access to your account right now.

Therefore, what device do you have please?

Have you got call forwarding or call diverting enabled in your settings?

Thanks,

Tyler

Hey there @Delefth, no problem. Did these calls used to work until April as you’ve said above?

Have you checked to see if there are any blocked numbers at all in your device?

Also, is the issue with calls from your regular GP for example, as well as these consultant calls? Or only the consultant ones?

Thanks,

Tyler

Everything worked OK prior Apr

I have some blocked numbers in my phone, that I know are definitely from spam callers

How would I block a number if the number is withheld? The issue is when a consultant calls, not the GP receptionist for example

Thank you for confirming @Delefth. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to investigation a call or two from 2+ months ago, as we can only see the past 30-days usage anyway our end, and we’d need you to get in touch nearer to the time of it happening to be able to fully investigate I’m afraid.

If your settings are all set up correctly which it sounds like they are, if the calls used to work on our network, and all other calls work except these ones, then it’s difficult to diagnose what the issue may be, or if the issue is even with ourselves.

Therefore, all we can advise for now is that your phone appears to be set up correctly, and calls are working for all other numbers, and as it’s two months since the issue, to see if this call works (which it should), and should it not, to report it to us immediately so we can investigate further with our technical team.

Sorry we cannot advise more than that right now.

Thanks,

Tyler

I am also having this issue from an 01270 NHS number. They say my phone goes straight to voicemail, my phone never rings and the voicemail comes through perfectly fine. I can also receive calls from other mobile numbers with no issue.

Have you got a solution for this?

Hi @purplesqueeze

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble receiving calls from the NHS.

Could you please let me know the make and model of your phone? Also, have you tried using your SIM card in another phone to see if the NHS calls come through there?
