not receiving text messages

Hello, my phone is not receiving any text messages from company's and websites (for example PayPal)... they've sent me a one off verification code to my number, but I've not received it yet. It's not the first time too (with other services) all of my settings are enabled, APN settings are correct etc.... checked all my inbox but can't find the code... it's been like half an hour. can someone help me out please..by the way i can receive messages from contacts.

Hi Sajeesh, I’ve got this problem now. Can’t get into any of my banks because I’m not receiving the verification code!! Did you ever get it sorted out?!

Hi @Amber Harlow, I’d recommend contacting the Facebook, Twitter or Live Chat teams so they can take a look at your account.

Hi I’m having the exact same issue after i switched from vodafone. I’m doing the live chat conversation but literally getting replies once every 24 hours if that. Please can someone let me know how to resolve this, it’s getting ridiculous now😫

 

Did you manage to get this sorted I'm having this problem now. I also have just switched from Vodafone

The problem I had was I wasn't getting activation codes from WhatsApp and banking app. But after a couple of days it sorted if self out

Also having this issue after upgrading to a new device this week - haven’t moved provider and everything worked right up to the minute before I swapped the SIM over.

Hey @Brian Tayler,

Can you clarify.

If I understand correctly, you upgraded phones and now services are not working?

You should still be using the same SIM card as we don’t send out SIM cards with upgrades to handsets.

Or did you upgrade to a SIM only and buy your phone phone?

Check if the new SIM you got is active as well as testing the old.

I  have the same issue. I could not receive OTP  SMS text message from only international bank have raised a case and the case officer said it can happen time to time. Is this been resolved to  anyone

if it’s an international number we would advise that you contact them to ensure that they are using the country code.

Yes they are using 044 before the number and I used to get the notificattions until I used to new iPhone with the same sim from ID.
