Padstow continued no data connection even though 3/4 bars of 4g indicated on iPhone 15

This has been consistent every time I have been in the area. 2 or 3 bars of 4g but unable to bring up anything that needs data. Including car park payment systems.

It’s very frustrating particularly as the coverage map indicates I should be receiving great service.

iPhone15 - been through the trouble shooting steps several times.

Hey there @Chiliblue, we’re sorry to hear that.

What’s the full postcode and how long have you had issues for please?

Is the issue only with data?

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi Tyler,

Well, the full postal address is PL28 8AU is my house address but tbh I am generally covered by my home broadband there. It’s more when I am out and about in a few miles radius of that postcode where I have an issue with signal.

It’s been terrible close to unusable since I changed to ID March 2024, it’s hit or miss in lots of odd places but this one really affects me as I can’t access parking apps etc.

It’s primarily data that’s the issue, voice might be problematic but that’s hard to tell as I don’t tend to receive many calls when I am on holiday here and I tend to make calls from the cottage so it has already swapped to WiFi in that situation.

Hope some of that helps. Thanks for picking this up.

Hi @Chiliblue

Taking a look the area of PL28 8AU and the surrounding is quite weak and patchy for our signal, we’d expect issues here.

All iD Mobile plans have a cooling off period in which the plan can be returned should the signal be found to be unsuitable, as you mention having issues since joining, was this option considered?

Hi Tom not sure what the point of this reply as the  cooling off period is <13 months. You are assuming that I was at what I have already stated as my holiday home to check coverage during the cooling off period (I wasn’t) I did however check your coverage checker. Plenty of the areas with weaker signal are in middle of farming land where I am unlikely to be. Signal at my address is reported as being ‘excellent’ see the attachment.

Hi @Chiliblue

As mentioned the area of PL28 8AU looks to be fairly patchy on the map, therefore we’d expect issues in/around the area.
