That looks like the 4G (LTE) side of things is probably either undergoing maintenance or your area has something else going off. The lack of an iD reference (top image, top left) shouldn’t be like that, but this can happen for reasons I don’t currently remember @Dj9928

You’re also lucky you still have 3G. Though as both speed tests are low, this could be congestion or one of many other factors.

For info, the iD maximum estimated speed for 4G is:

  • 70Mbps download
  • 22Mbps on the upload

They no longer give figures for 3G.

And for future reference 5G:

  • 597Mbps down
  • 50Mbps up.

I would suggest sticking your postcode into both of these and see if anything is showing

Yes seems there are issues

We're fixing an issue in this area at the moment and aim to have things back up-and-running as soon as possible.

We're sorry for any disruption this may cause and will add any further updates here.

But I’m now having flashbacks to a 3 phone I had about 2 years ago now.  I remember at home I had 3G but 4G data wouldn’t work,  while at work at the other side of town I had 4G coverage but no 3G coverage at all and remember now data wouldn’t work on 4G, remember having a real session getting out of my contract with 3 but I did eventually.  Surely this issue couldn’t still be on going 2 years later?

Don’t want to cheese you off @Dj9928  but I’ve had

for months!!!!

Though mine often alternates to (and I check this almost hourly)

We hope to be finished working on these improvements as soon as possible.

We'll add any further updates here.

(just checked whilst replying and it is showing this one🙄)

I used to be with Tesco. At the beginning it was really good, then slowly it started to get slightly worse and then virtually unusable.

But the recent issues appear to be related to 3G being turned off. This IS a real pain for us - the end user.

Hi @Dj9928

Sorry to hear you aren’t happy with your data speeds, it is worth noting that we don’t have a minimum download/upload speed, these speeds will vary wherever you are.

We rely on the Three UK network, meaning if you’ve had issues with their signal (and no improvements have been made since) you’re likely to have the same issues with us.

Ive had exactly the same and I know your frustration……. because i felt it too...big time. When I asked them they said oh it maintenance and I tried the 3 link suggested by the other people and I tried postcodes from all over the UK, and the funny thing is they said it about everyone I tried……… so are they having problems all over the UK?!!!! or is it just an excuse for not having enought speed for all thier customers. I’m now in BUlgaria working and all of a suddent the speed is great based on other roaming providers I’m getting 47 /15 which is wonderful. Frnakly if it doesnt improve back in the UK I will just get another provider as I do believe we are been “HAD”

Hello @busylizzie1965

Thanks for getting in touch.

We are very sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the service.

Are you able to provide some example postcodes for the areas that you have had the problems in?

Thanks,

Nat
