Peter number from 3 to Idmobile 2 days ago and cannot make it receive calls

Ported number from 3 to idMobile 2 days ago and now cannot make or receive calls.

 

Have done all troubleshooting suggested in previous threads (network reset, toggle WiFi calling, volte etc)

 

Phone has 5 bars and shows LTE connection. 

 

Have tried from several masts.

Is your old Three SIM card still active? Could be a split port? Have you done a reset of your network settings? This usually fixes things.

So just tried my wife's 3 SIM in my phone. All calls working. 

 

New iDMobile SIM in my wife's phone (exactly same make and model as mine) and calls work.

 

idMobile back in my phone and calls not working.

 

Network reset didn't help

Hi

 

I can't find any profile or advanced option in the messages app. Nothing within settings to do with phone number??

Have cleared data and cache for message so and restarted but still showing unknown number and no calls.

Might be worth trying a replacement SIM card.

Nothing has worked. Have ordered a replacement SIM but the fact it works in my wife's identical S10+ is a mystery.

 

Will update if replacement SIM works.

RESOLVED

 

Replacement SIM arrived and activated - same issue, no calling in or out

Several hours of repeat trouble shooting - no joy.

 

Saw a Reddit post from US that mentioned DNS and APNs.

 

Deleted/disabled the ID APN that had been installed on activation. 

 

Then chose the 3 APN that appeared as option (along with 3 hotspot and ID APNs)

 

And bingo.... Everything works fine now. 

 

How very odd.

 

Thanks everyone for your help. Hopefully this APN switch may fix for others, too…
