I’ve been on holiday in the New Forest and mobile coverage has been really really poor. I’m thinking of moving to a different provider to resolve this. Am I doing the right thing?

Hi there @Big Col, sorry to hear that. What’s the full postcode and what phone do you have please?

My postcode is CV326RU but that’s not where I had poor coverage. iPhone 11.

Hi @Big Col

Okay, how is coverage in CV32 6RU?

Please could you let us know the postcode where you’ve had issues?

Tom

Maybe the right thing to do is use a network that gives you good coverage in the locations you use your mobile phone most frequently, @Big Col

Hi @Big Col

Okay, it looks like 4G is best in SO42 7QD so we’d recommend manually switching to that in your device settings incase you’re connecting to a weak 5G signal.

My phone showed 3 or 4 bars and 4G yet as I said the service was non-existent. Can you explain that please?

Hi there @Big Col, sorry to hear that. How long have you had issues here for please?

Do you have issues elsewhere, or just here?

Have you tried restarting your phone and resetting network settings when having these issues to see if it helps at all please?

Thanks,

Tyler

How do you reset network settings?

Hi there @Big Col, for iPhone;

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

Resetting network settings will NOT reset any personal data (Photos, Videos, Contacts etc) only network settings.

Thanks,

Tyler
