Hi @Cg2831,

Thanks for getting in touch.

We're not aware of any known issues currently affecting Caller ID and have had no recent reports regarding this.

If all incoming calls are showing as "Private Number", it's more likely that the callers have their number withheld or are using a service that is preventing their number from being displayed.

If this is happening with calls from a variety of different people who would normally show their number, we'd recommend restarting your phone and making sure your software is up to date.

Should the issue continue, please contact our Live Chat team so they can look into it further.

We hope this helps.

Regards,

Same here. My family members call me and it shows as a private number.

I have the exact same issue, I also have a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra running an eSIM, I have reset my phone setting to default. I am running the beta One UI 9 however My second eSIM from EE has no issue which proves that my settings are OK, I have dialled *#30# and the status shows enabled. I have used gemini to troubleshoot and interestingly shows the opposite to Gemma's message above showing that there have been multiple reports due to ongoing works with Three Mobile and the issue seems to effect eSIMs.

I have contacted iD in regards to the issue with a very helpful its a settings issue. I have stated all of the above and still… it's a settings issue. iD are falling apart and the Live Chat is useless.

Has anyone gotten anywhere with this?

I am getting the same issue with my Samsung S26 Ultra but I have a physical SIM. Every number that calls me is ‘private number’, I have checked all setting and nothing changes it.

I have tried Live chat, useless.

After spending an hour on live chat, I have had to raise a complaint. I will update as it unfolds

My recommendation whilst anyone is suffering from this issue, is get another SIM even pay as you go and forward calls from your usual number to the new number. This was, the number is being pulled from the other network. Not ideal by any means, but a work around for now. It's working for me currently!

Hi @gazmoonable, @edwjank and @Kidsan,

I am so sorry to hear of the issues with your calls coming through as private.

To stop incoming calls from showing up as Private Number on your Samsung Galaxy S26, you need to force your mobile network to refresh your Caller Line Identification.

Follow these steps in order to resolve the issue:

1. Reset Network Caller ID Settings

  • A software glitch can cause your phone to miscommunicate with network towers.
    • Open the Phone app.
    • Tap the three dots (top right) and select Settings.
    • Tap Supplementary services.
    • Tap Show your caller ID.
    • Change the setting to Network default.
  • Note: If it is already on default, change it to "Always", wait 10 seconds, and switch it back to "Network default".

2. Perform a Network Reset

  • This clears corrupted network data without deleting your personal files.
    • Go to Settings.
    • Tap General management.
    • Tap Reset and select
    • Reset mobile network settings.
    • Tap Reset settings to confirm.
    • Restart your phone.

I hope that this helps to get your issue resolved.

This is easier said than done. iD Mobile is the network in questions but the Live chat simply don't seem to read what I am saying and keep telling me my phones settings are the issue. I have proven they are not by using another network and doing all of the above stated several times. I have had to escalate to a complaint because they simply lack training or understanding of what to do next.

Thank you for your reply though. Perhaps you should be the support, you seem to understand the issue more than the customer service team!

Hi Gemma, I have also tried your suggestions in the order you have requested but it still does not work.

Do you have any other options? Or new sim?

I have put my wife's sim in my phone and it works fine, so seems related to the ID sim or network.
