sick of id mobile but still paying for a service i don't get

My signal as gone terrible over the last 5 weeks so bad I have had to get a Labara SIM to run along side my id mobile SIM. as the data is only 1.4 download and 0.3 upload if im lucky and my calls just cut off of they say I sound like a robot.on the service page it just says

We're fixing an issue in this area at the moment and aim to have things back up-and-running as soon as possible.

We're sorry for any disruption this may cause and will add any further updates here. All the time so I have to keep using my Labra SIM to ring people back I have already transferred one of my id pay monthly to spusu and it's 100% better but I am struck in a contract that I can not use.

Hi @Lightbulb

Thank you for reaching out to us here on the community.

We are very sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with the service.

Can you please confirm if the problems with data and calls are only occurring in one particular area or all over?

If you could please provide the postcode for the area and your handset make/model, we will be happy to assist further.

Thanks,

Nat

I too am in a similar boat to yourself so can’t offer any advice on the 4G/3G signal.

However:

even the WiFi calling is not working correctly on the id mobile SIM

Just in case you’re not aware….

Wi-Fi calling should give you crystal clear quality when you’ve connected your phone to a Wi-Fi network on either your home broadband router or (as one example) a shops free Wi-Fi.

That crystal clear call quality is only ‘there’ if the other party also has a good Wi-Fi signal and has also enabled Wi-Fi calling on their device.

If, and is in your case, the mobile signal is currently weak due to other factors outside of your control, and you’re connected to a router then Wi-Fi calling should work without any degradation.

If you already knew this then sorry for posting about it.

Ditto 🙄

My wife now has hers set to Wi-Fi calling all the time at our home address, but has only had to do this since we joined iD - though for a few months after joining iD it was the best signal we’d had here in years and thus she didn’t need Wi-Fi calling initially, then something changed…. (and this was before Three pulled the plug on 3G)

I’ve gotten that used to poor signal with our previous provider and now with iD I don’t use Wi-Fi calling as I would like to get to the bottom of why it’s getting so bad. I know our masts need updating in our area (O2/Tesco confirmed this over the phone, yet wouldn’t in writing, I wonder why….) and can’t see when the big 4 are going to get their wallets out of their pockets.

Hopefully yours gets fixed soon 🤞
