Question

signal issues

Hi there.

I have moved to ID from EE (more than 14 days ago so well past the point of the return window). I have had nothing but trouble with signal. I popped into Curry's to speak with someone and they gave me a new sim to try. This sim has activated and still having the problem. Also tried the sim in another phone, still having signal issues. Looking at the ID coverage checker all looks OK but not in reality. I cant make calls without it being patchy and the Internet is non existent without either hotspotting to my husbands phone while we are out anywhere or desperately finding WiFi! It's terrible. I'm in Cornwall where, admittedly there are a lot of rural black holes, but we do have 4G and 5G down here now!

Please help. I'm paying over £40 a month for a phone I can barely use!

We have had the same issues. My wife works in a building where she had excellent coverage on O2 but since moving to iD/3 coverage has been abysmal despite signal Checker saying she should be OK and colleagues on other carriers having no issues whatsoever.

Went to the trouble of buying a PAYG O2 SIM card as a temporary solution but Call Forwarding won’t work so that was a waste of time and money too.

This has been an issue since I got the phone and has been in and around Cornwall, Tetbury and Dorset. All places which weren't an issue signal wise when when I was with EE.

Hi @rebecca.jenkin

We are very sorry to hear this.

Do you have any further postcodes that we can check?

Have you tested your SIM in another handset at all?

Thanks

Natalie
