I purchased an id mobile iPhone 15 contract in August 2023 and ported my number over.

I have had nothing since issues with the network since. The mobile signal is very poor and the 5g is barely useable in Glasgow city center so I have a backup sim I use for data most of the times. I understand that is a Three network issue and widely discussed and no fix for it.

However the issue that seems to trouble me the most is that some calls do not connect. I have been told by various people that when they try to ring my number it does not go through and goes as invalid number. However others can seem to call me and ring through with no issues. I have now found out that it is the same issue with messages as I am unable to get some bank text messages where as others come through. But the one time passcode for one bank does not come at all whereby i have verified with them 3 times that they have my correct number.

I attempted to make a complaint with Id Mobile but the response has been to reset network settings etc. I have tried all that multiple times, I have tried the sim in a different phone. I have moved from a physical to esim but the issue still exists. It seems to be a network issue that my number has not ported correctly possibly ? but surely not a problem on my end

Hello I changed fom O2 to ID, kept my old number via ESim. However on some occasions, this reverts back to ID number when texting and also had lots of issues when people ring me it states number does not exist??? Can you help, I have Android phone.

Hey there @AngBaz, what make and model device do you have please?

Thanks,

Tyler

Samsung 22

Hey there, please try the following @AngBaz:

1) Open Messages, go to Settings (top right, Message Settings), open "Chat Features" or "RCS Chats", verify if this is the correct number or not.

2) If it shows the incorrect one, then head to: https://messages.google.com/disable-chat and you should be able to unregister the number. Once done, turn off the Chat Features/RCS and the phone. Wait a few minutes and turn the device back on and re-enable Chat Features/RCS it should let you re-register/update to the correct number.

Alternatively, you can turn Chat Features/RCS off and test SMS after this.

Thanks,

Tyler
