My wife and I both have Pixel 7a phones which were bought on contract from idMobile approximately 9 months ago and have been able to make/receive calls and use 4g/5g data in our house without issue. However, in the last couple of weeks we have been unable to make calls or use the internet in the house.
I have seen the news re-3G switch off and the advice on switching on Volte but can not find the option to switch Volte on on our Pixel 7a’s
Could someone advise please ?

Maybe just ask the Google Assistant, on your Pixel device, to enable VoLTE,
The app should already be installed, given it’s a Google Pixel device.
