Open settings, select apps, scroll down and select phone, and where it says “My number” type your number starting with a 0(zero). Then click save.

Unfortunately, I cannot keep posting this as the community forum software throws an error and I can only reword it so many times. Maybe add it to the article @Matthew T?

Thanks, tried that and it worked…not sure why my number was blank, but that seemed to sort it  Will try with my wife’s phone as well..😁

I’m having exactly the same problem ( iPhone 15 pro max) cannot make or receive calls. I have tried everything… reset my network, rebooted phone. Tried an o2 sim in iPhone which worked ok, proving it it is a sim issue.. My wife is on id mobile and she is having same issue… trying to speak to an agent is proving a real challenge. ID mobile team please sort… not good enough…

Okay @Paride Pasetti, looks like the 3G network service in your area has been permantently switched OFF.

You’ll need to makes that your iPhone handset can use VoLTE (4G Calling), which may need to be  enabled in the device settings.

@malkm71 If you think it’s a SIM issue, you can find out how to get a replacement here:

It’s more likely to do with the 3G switch off, so I’d recommend looking at the steps here, it’s recently been updated too with additional troubleshooting specific to iPhone:

Thanks.

The fix for iPhones is rather simple.

Open settings, select apps, scroll down and select phone, and where it says “My number” type your number starting with a 0(zero). Then click save.

Unfortunately, I cannot keep posting this as the community forum software throws an error and I can only reword it so many times. Maybe add it to the article @Matthew T?

@WelshPaul what error does the Community give you?

It’s included in the article, just before Network Settings Reset. Reason being in theory it should be unrelated to the 3G Switch Off, but we’re seeing it work for customers! Thanks.

Ah, OK. It wasn’t there when I last read the article a few days ago @Matthew T. It would be helpful if articles contained ‘Last Updated’ information such as the date and time it was last updated. Otherwise, I/we have to re-read entire articles in order to figure out if a fix or new suggestion has been applied.

About the error, I got a red banner telling me duplicate content isn’t allowed when posting the same content or direct links. Given all the issues as the result of the 3G switch off, the same questions often require the same answers and links to be posted in response. It gets rather frustrating having to rephrase or reword things in order to successfully submit a post. As I often post using my mobile phone, I try not to reply with lengthy posts, images and the like. So, a quick copy and paste at times is my go to for such simple queries. Maybe I should stop being so lazy! 🤐
