Vey poor signal

In the last two months my signal has become extremely poor. In phone calls I can hear the person I have called but they can’t hear me. Nor does my phone ring properly - I can see someone has called but the phone didn’t ring (And yes, the sound was on, because I was expecting a call) I am in the HP6 area. I have never had this problem before. I have tried turning the phone off and back on but it has no effect on the signal received.  I don’t have access to another sim card to try that. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy 23 Ultra.

Can you please pop your full postcode in to our service checker here? This should list any known issues.

Also, are you using 4G/5G or WiFi calling?

Hi  I have checked coverage for my postcode area and am told it is excellent. I don't  know what I am using - I just call a number. It doesn't  occur to me to look at the symbols. It also happens when people call me.

Can you please check if it is 4G/5G when you next attempt to make a call. 

Did you also search your postcode in the service status page on the link?

Yes, service status fine. How do I know what I am using to make the call? I have the wireless calling symbol on my phone and it also shows a very weak phone signal.
