Had some weird activity today. My gf tried to call me and apparently a random woman answered the phone and asked to “meet up” (my phone was in my pocket). I have also had a random call and when I rang them back they were not aware they had called me (maybe a coincidence). My phone was stolen about a year ago, however, my network provider cancelled the sim and I set the phone to lost mode so I am sure it is not to do with this. I have recently joined ID Mobile. Any help would be appreciated.

That’s a bizarre thing to happen. The last time I had this was over 25 years ago!
Did you bring that number over to iD? And does your phone show the correct number on the settings/apps on the phone?

This looks like 2 different problems..
1) It seems like your number has been cloned when your GFcalled you and it was answered by a random woman asking for a ‘meet up’.
2) THEN you redialled a number and they told you that they hadn’t called you and this probably means that they have also had their number cloned by a scammer.

This is now a frequent occurence for many as it seems to be so easy to do by scammers.
The only answer may be to change your phone number and Live chat should be able to help you with that.
