Delivery issues with DPD?

Order placed Monday, dispatched Monday, hit the international hub as DPD call it and hasn't been seen since. Tracking just says your item is delayed due to unexpected issues.  It's now Friday and nothing updated since Tuesday morning.

Should I write this off as lost?  I did contact DPD who told me the same as the tracking info and wasn't very useful
