I upgraded handset on the 02/01/2026 with the delivery due date being the 05/01/2026, DPD never came, wasn’t given my 1 hour slot, so rescheduled for the next day, same thing happened, so I rescheduled again and so on up until the 14th, I then contacted ID saying my parcel tracking is stuck, its never out for delivery please help, they had told me the handset had been return to Curry’s for some reason and they’re sending it to back office to investigate, so I wait the 48 hours or so they told me before I should contact them for an update, this was 17/01/2026, they told me that they are going to get Curry’s to send it back out on Monday 19/01/2026, that I will receive new tracking and I had been credited £10 for delays, bare in mind that I haven’t seen my handset for over half of the month and the £10 awarded credit doesn’t even cover a quarter of the bill, so here I am on current day (Wednesday 21/01/2026) with no email telling me that Curry’s have dispatched the order so I got in touch again and was told that I need to reschedule a delivery myself on the same tracking number as before… I tell them to properly check the notes on my account to which they have now opened a missing parcel case which takes 7 days to investigate, albeit they have now placed a ‘payment holiday’ on my account so I won’t be charged until a further date but seems like nobody can give a straight forward answer and just lies before trying any sort of solution.

Hi @PG1970

I’m sorry for the delay and the confusion with your delivery.

Your case is now in a missing parcel investigation, which can take up to 7 days to confirm the parcel status with Currys/DPD. In the meantime, a payment holiday has been applied so you won’t be charged.

Once the investigation is complete, we will either re-dispatch the handset or issue a replacement depending on the outcome.

Please let us know if you don’t receive an update after 7 days

Hi there, update, apparently the previous agent never even raised an investigation with DPD and lied new agent has said he’s done so and will have to wait another 6 days, but likely another lie in the continued endless cycle of being fobbed off.

now a month on from when I originally ordered.

also, still waiting for this private message, thanks

I’m not sure what’s happening at iD Mobile HQ recently, but their support has definitely declined. I’ve escalated this on your behalf @PG1970, and hopefully someone more senior will be along soon to get this resolved for you.

HI @PG1970

I honestly don’t know how DPD is still in business and used by so many companies as they are the worst of the worst 😡

SO many packages ‘lost’, ‘delivered’ but not actually delivered, false ‘proof of delivery’ photos, etc etc!

A few weeks back I was expecting a delivery of an item by DPD.
I live in a 4th floor flat.
When the courier arrived I answered my intercom and was told that they don’t deliver to individual flats (all other couriers do and there is even a lift for them to use! 🙄😤) so I said ‘OK, hold on I’ll be down in a minute’ (I mean I was on the 4th floor and had to make my way down to them) and was then told by the driver ‘No, I’m taking it back’ and he left immediately, I didn’t even have time to hang up the intercom phone before he was gone🤡
My delivery notification was then updated with ‘I’m sorry you weren’t in...’ and attached a photo of a package that 1) didn’t look anything like the package I had ordered (jiffy bag instead of a box), 2) didn’t show the address and 3) was against a background that looked nothing like any area around my flat!
I then spent over an hour trying to find and then get through to the customer services to sort out redelivery (as the driver didn’t even leave a card).

That’s not even the worst thing I’ve encountered with DPD!
One time I was having a cig at my window and a DPD van pulled up, the driver exited the van, went to the rear and got out a package, he then took a picture of the main door to the flats, got in his van and just left!! He didn’t even attempt to deliver!

And it’s so funny how SO many ‘high value’ items go missing in their care especially from places such a Currys!

The ONLY delivery service I have never had a problem with is Royal Mail as they always delivery first time and every time!

Unfortunately, companies don’t recognise that the delivery service they use reflects on them as well, even though it shouldn’t, but they will insist on still using the services of DPD, no matter how bad.

Where possible, I won’t use any company that uses DPD for delivery and so they now lose my custom and I’m sure I’m not alone!
