What does pre-order mean?

I've seen that I'm able to upgrade from my sim-only deal on another account to the Google Pixel 2 XL, however it is only available to "pre-order." Does anyone know what this entails, or rather when I will get my phone should I choose to pre-order it?

Hi @SamAllan87

Pre-order means that your are ordering a phone before its release date to the market. In your case it means that ID does not have it in stock right now and you would need to wait until they get it back. So you may order it today but receive your phone in a week or two.
