Galaxy s23 ultra. Not receiving texts to my number and when I send them it says it's from my new number. I used a pac code and when I call it's all fine. Help :) changed to SMS and not using Samsung messages also changed phone number in the message app and settings. Happening for a week now. Tried many things

According to aforementioned article Google’s very clever RCS servers might remember the ‘wrong’ number for your new Samsung device for 14-days.
One thing worth a try might be:
- Turn OFF RCS chats (“Chat features”) in the Messages app.
- Turn OFF your handset and remove the SIM card.
- Check no fingerprints are visible on the SIM card, before re-inserting the SIM card.
- Turn ON your handset.
- Turn ON RCS chats.

This can sometimes happen if you use iD SIM card with the initial mobile number iD allocated for your new connection, before you get the number you want to keep transferred to iD. The Google servers register your device as linked to the initial number for RCS messaging, and then appear to be unable to recognise the number linked to your device has changed.

I suspect the issues you’re experiencing are because the iD SIM card, which came with your new handset, was used in the new handset before the number you wanted to keep was transferred to iD.
Yeah I think you hit the nail on the head there :) I did use the SIM before that, I'll take a look. Thanks for taking the time to reply, I appreciate it. The phone and reception etc are great , this is the only thing I have wrong :)

Same issue here.
I've recently switched from 3 to iD and got a new mobile Nokia XR20, a new SIM card but kept the previous number as I always do when moving networks.
Anyhow, I'm sending a message now via SMS feature with RCS on or WhatsApp and the recipients get the wrong sender's number.
When I turn RCS back on the wrong number (the one that I got with a new SIM card from iD and before transferring my previous number from 3) returns with vengeance!
I've turned the mobile off, remove the SIM card, put it back in, turned the mobile back on again, turned RCS back on, selected Verify Number and... Here we go again! Like an ABBA song! Same wrong number.
How can I remedy that?
