Calendar backup

I’ve got a Samsung J3 2017 and want to change it soon to another android (probably not Samsung) and would need to transfer the calendar to the new phone. It’s a Samsung calendar, not a Google one, I thought it was being backed up to Samsung Cloud but can’t see it when I log in but their cloud is ending soon and all moving to Microsoft Onedrive but can’t see it on there either. I need to sort this out before I get my new phone. Any ideas what I should do?

@WelshPaul / @terrywebbs If I remember rightly, one of you were able to help a customer who had a similar issue with transferring/syncing their calendars to a new device. 

Any tips for @Paulr here?
