Reactivate sim card after cancelling my account

I went away travelling in February, and in March I cancelled my iD contract (SIM only). However, I'm now back in the UK and I'd like to reactivate my old SIM card so I can use my old number again. Is this possible, and if so, how?

Thanks,

Hannah

If you followed the iD contract cancellation procedure (by giving them 30-days notice), you probably won’t be able to get your number back @Hans MB

If instead, you just cancelled the direct debit for your iD account, then your iD SIM only plan wasn’t cancelled and you’ll still have the same number.

Oh, OK! I followed the cancellation procedure.

In that case, how can I get a new sim card?

You can purchase a SIM only plan in-store in any Currys store, otherwise choose a plan online.

Hey @Hans MB,

As @andewhite  mentioned above, just purchase a new contract and you’re good to go on this new number.

The only point worth noting atm is that you can’t re-use the same email username for log-ins as you had previously.

Hopefully we can change this with a future update but as of right now anyway, it’ll need to be a new username used.
