PAC code transfer not processed fully but issues with texts

After a couple of days delay, by phone number was eventually transferred to my new phone on Friday, however, when I text the ID mobile number is still coming up instead of my number and for some contacts it is saying that my text message has failed to send but in reality is sending the same message up to 3 times.

Is this an iPhone by any chance?


Try the following:

1)    Turn off iMessage (Settings > Messages)
2)    Restart your phone (by pressing and holding the on/off button)
3)    Tap Settings > Phone > My Number and confirm that it is correct. 
4)    If it is not correct, please enter the correct number
5)    Turn iMessage back to On (Settings > Messages)
6)    Finally, go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and see if the correct number is displayed under “Start new conversations from:”. 


It should fix the issue.

The issue is related to iOS/iPhone’s not picking up the  number port.
