This is a complaint that I can't make an order through the website without entering a phone number. However my existing phone isn't working - that is why I want to make an order. So it is a Catch 22 situation.
Usually when you make online purchase elsewhere, an email address is sufficient for communication, but I suppose this is a phone company and it wants to use the phone.

I understand. If you can add your current contact number just for now, once your order has been completed we'll be able to update this with the new number that we assign to you. Let me know if that works.

I'm in the same situation. If I enter another person's cell phone number, will that mess up their plan? Or can I use it just as a reference number?
