Hi @Gemma Corinne

We’ll feed this back to the team, however with iD Mobile being a UK network, our priority is to provide the app to UK devices.

Yes but I have an account with Id mobile but can’t download the app - should I be asking for a discount  as the app has discriminated against me ?

Hi @Gemma Corinne

Usage of the app isn’t mandatory, you aren’t being discriminated against, you’re using a non-UK device meaning some UK only services might not be available to you.

I’d recommend using the website alternatively.

It is saying if you are not from the UK and therefore don’t have a UK phone you are not allowed to use the app.  Why else is the app so restrictive?  So it is discriminating against non UK nationals.

Hey there @Gemma Corinne, this is not discriminative.

We are a UK based network, and therefore the app is for UK based users.

The same as if a foreign network was to be used over here, then it may not work here as their network is for their country.

Thanks,

Tyler

But not all UK based users will have UK Apple ID so again how is that not blatant discrimination?
Why not to change the settings to ensure inclusivity as opposed to continually trying to defend this?

Hey there @Gemma Corinne, we appreciate your feedback on this. As mentioned, we are not being discriminative here.

However, we really appreciate your feedback, however, these are settings that cannot be changed for the app.

Have you tried using our website instead via any device? That should work fine and work the exact same as the app.

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi Tyler

is there a reason to not be inclusive?

Why the barrier to opening the app up? What is the reason that isn’t being done?

Hi @Gemma Corinne

We’ll feed it back to the team, but as mentioned already, providing the app to UK devices is our priority as we’re a UK network.
