You cannot directly switch from a pay monthly iD Mobile plan to a pay-as-you-go plan, or vice versa. You would have to get a new pay as you go SIM card.

Hi @Puremagic

Have you left iD Mobile?

The only time we’d move a Pay Monthly plan to a PAYG is when disconnecting, but this wouldn’t be an actual, functional PAYG, it’s simply so we can still grab a PAC code if we need to.

I returned. Handset, ID cancelled the contract. So It got moved to PAYG.  I’ve sorted a replacement sim which is now PAYG. I was told I a have to go to a different provider in order to bring the original number back.

Hey there @Puremagic, when you return your contract with us, you switch to PAYG simply so your number is still active until you use a PAC code to leave us and transfer the number elsewhere.

This doesn’t switch to PAYG for you to be on a PAYG contract with us, or to be used or topped up.

Thanks,

Tyler
