I have a sim while awaiting my sim, can theno be swapped over?

I am new to ID, I bough a sim only plan and cancelled it with few day and bought another sim only plan. The SIM card which I cancelled has arrived. I’m yet to receive sim for the contract I want. Can the sim be swapped over so that I can start using the sim,

    Are you sure it’s the iD SIM card for the iD plan you returned in the cooling off period, ​@Omolara?

    If not, can you please pop the SIM that you have received in to your handset and complete the activation? 

    This will just confirm if the plan is on that particular SIM.
