i want to keep the same number i have but my parent has my sim under their account

I have an ID physical sim at the moment wich my parents pay for but I would like to start my own contract with new phone and a sim , how am I able to keep my number the same when my new phone comes , thankyou

    Hey there ​@HEleanor, unfortunately, you cannot transfer your phone number direcly between iD Mobile plans. To keep your number with us, you’d either need to upgrade, or complete a triangle port. 

     

    A triangle port is where you transfer your number to another network on Pay As You Go, then back to us on your new plan.

      Thankyou, will I have to complete the triangle portion on my current phone or on my new one and how would I do this please , thanks
