Looking to get an iPhone 16pro. Is it locked to the iD network and if so, is it easy to unlock at the end of the contract?

iD state that all of their phones are unlocked to any networks
Whether or not this is true after the 3G switch-off on other networks is something I don’t yet know. What I can say is that some of my fellow customers are bringing their phones over with them to iD. After Three started switching off 3G some of these previously perfectly working phones no longer make or receive calls and this is related to the supplying providers software.

We do not lock devices and haven’t for quite a while now, at the end or even during the contract you’d be able to put another network’s SIM inside it.
