Multiple new ID SIMs - with numbers being PACd across. Which SIM is which?

I’m currently in the process of switching my family (3 of us) from Lebara to ID Mobile, we’re retaining our existing numbers using PAC. 1 SIM number is planned to change over Monday, the other 2 SIM numbers change  over on Tuesday.

I received the SIMs today, is there anyway of correlating the new ID mobile SIMs with the old Lebara numbers?  There’s nothing in the email chain that tells me which SIM is which.

(ID mobile plans were purchased via mobiles.co.uk).

Another issue I have is that ID Mobile emailed me a ‘Let’s Get Started’ email for only 2 of the 3 SIMs, these emails includes the new mobile phone number, and a ‘Customer service PIN’. Does it matter that I don’t have Customer service PIN for the 3rd SIM?

Thanks!

Hi @Knobbly

I’m so sorry for the delay. My home internet was down yesterday and my mobile data wouldn’t work either.

Hmm okay🤔. Yes it does look like you’ll have to have all the phone together and try each SIM until you get the right combo. I have no clue why either business wouldn’t keep things simple and merge, or better still, have one unique order ref.

And yes if one doesn’t go through correctly that’ll give you a right headache.

The other thing to watch of for is if the provisional iD phone number is retained by each phone, rather than your ported numbers. This should help:

If you know the order in which you placed each order (phone number 1, 2 then 3) then the unique order reference number should point you in the right direction @Knobbly unless I’m missing something - are you saying the order references are not showing on any email/letter?

I’d double check - that way you should be able to cross reference each SIM to each order.

My wife had 4 recent emails from iD going to an oversensitive gmail spam the other day, maybe the 3rd went there?

I don’t remember if you need the pin to activate the app or online portal, but the pin number for each account is in there.

@Daz_S, Thanks for the reply.  Nothing in my spam folder (I use gmail as well). I ordered through mobiles.co.uk, and gave them my PAC codes when ordering, their order numbers don’’t match iD order numbers, so I guess the only thing I can do is wait until late Monday, then late Tuesday and see which SIMs have which numbers.

This has the potential to get messy if the number transfer does’t go to plan.

(doesn’t help that it appears that mobiles.co.uk appears to have submitted my orders to iD in a different sequence to my order placement...)

Thanks for the replies. All numbers migrated across to iD Mobile when promised, so all is good (mainly)
