my replacement sim is not letting me connect to calls


I got a replaCement sim and it’s not letting me receive or make calls with my existing number

How precisely is this determined?

 

Are you sure that SIM is the number you’re expecting it to be?

  • On an iPhone, open the Phone app, go to the "Contacts" tab, and tap on "My Card" to find your phone number.
  • On an Android device, swipe down from the top of the screen, tap the gear icon to open Settings, and open "About Phone" to find your phone number.

On an hemerrhoid phone I have the ‘about phone’ section for some reason doesn’t have my number, but I can pull it out of the screwgle account settings.

A few questions to ask here.

Is your SIM active, or does it say emergency calls only? Can you use data/send texts as normal?

Have you transferred your number over to iD Mobile recently? If so, your number may need to be updated in the phone settings. 

Are you using an iPhone or an android device?
