my contract is up with my existing provider so I am going to go sim only with ID. When it says keep existing number the recommended option is to ‘switch on SIM arrival”
Does this automatically cancel my old contract or do I need to select the PAC code option for this?

Perhaps order your iD SIM only plan first, and then when you’re happy with everything get a PAC to switch the number you want to keep.
Your old service provider contract would only be cancelled once iD process the PAC.
