Can anyone using IPhone confirm they have 4G when making calls (4G calling or VoLTE) - I recently joined today and my calls keep reverting to 3G and I have no VoLTE option in voice and data - my 3 SIM card didn’t have that option either however it still made calls over 4G - I using IPhone 13 Pro with an eSIM installed - any help or feedback appreciated

Are you using the latest iOS on your iPhone, @Scotchydog

Have you got an old network profile from another provider on your iPhone?

Have you tried a NETWORK RESET on your iPhone?

My iPhone, with a physical SIM, uses 4G Calling (VoLTE).

@andewhite - Thanks for the reply, yes I updated it to 17.5 yesterday and I’ve just tried resetting network settings still no VoLTE option - my phone was bought outright to no network originally- the only thing I can try now is if customer services can either try and send new carrier settings (if that’s even possible) or send out a new physical sim and see if that works - If not then I will be forced into leaving which would be a shame because they seem a great value network and 3 is the only network that offers 5G where I live

The VoLTE settings option is probably down to the service provider, @Scotchydog.

My iPhone’s Settings > Mobile Service > Mobile Data Options > Voice & Data, only has options to select 4G, 5G On or 5G Auto.

Nothing under Settings > Phone either, only an option to enable Wi-Fi Calling.

I’m not sure UK service providers have a VoLTE setting for iPhone devices, with 5G capability.

Have you tried https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/get-your-settings/settings-tool?

Sent you this on the other post I made but worth copying it here

- I think I found the problem or the solution however you want to look at it - I had been running both SIM cards - 3 physical has my original number the one every knows has of me and now I’m the process of moving to my Id eSIM - so have both installed and switch between the 2 until I worked out this problem

Since resetting network settings and selecting my iD as primary it seems to have forced 4G calling over I’m now confident I can switch my number and start using it on iD- was wondering why nobody else seemed to have this problem but all sorted now

Hi @Scotchydog

Glad to hear you’ve found a solution to this one, welcome to iD Mobile.
