Question

PAC switch from giffgaff to id mobile, yet 8 weeks in, I'm STILL getting my customers asking if I have changed my number??!

I'm confused about why I keep being asked by my customers, whether I've changed my number, as every message I'm sending is looking to them, like it's coming from the id mobile sim number, despite the fact that I've had my giffgaff number ported over with my PAC, it's not just irritating, it's super annoying!

Please!!!

Sort it out, or at least tell me how to!

What handset are you using?

HI @Windy Woo

Do you have an iPhone?
If so you need to check your settings:-

To change your phone number in iPhone settings, go to Settings > Phone > My Number, then enter your new number and tap Save. You might also need to update the number in your Apple ID settings under [Your Name] > Sign-In & Security.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:

  1. Open Settings: Locate and tap the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Navigate to Phone: Scroll down and tap on "Phone".
  3. Access My Number: Tap on "My Number".
  4. Enter the New Number: You'll see your current number. Replace it with your new phone number. Ensure you use the correct international format (e.g., +44 for UK).
  5. Save Changes: Tap "Save" to finalize the change.
  6. Optional: Update Apple ID: For full synchronization, you may also want to update your phone number in your Apple ID settings. Go to Settings > [Your Name] > Sign-In & Security > Edit > and add your new number and remove the old one.
  7. Restart: Restarting your iPhone might be necessary for the changes to take full effect.

If you have another handset then please let us know.

Can you please check if your number is showing on the device:

  1. HardReset.info:
  2. Open the Settings app on your HONOR 90 Pro. This app is typically represented by a gear icon.

  3. Scroll down and tap on the "About phone" or "About device" option.

  4. Scroll down and tap on the "Status" or "Phone identity" option.

  5. Your phone number should be displayed in the "My phone number" or "Phone number" fields.

Please let us know if this shows as your number.

Also, have you tried a reboot @Windy Woo
