Took out iD mobile contract, Vodafone sim came...?

Hi

At the end of last week I signed up to an iD mobile contract. I had to wait a fair while for the Sim to come, but when it did, it’s all Vodafone brand. 

I know the 2 companies have merged, but I do not want to put the sim in my phone and activate a second contract with Vodafone!!

It’s been about a week now, and I have been unable to use the iD contract I am being charged for :(

Can someone help- should the sim card that was sent clearly be branded as iD mobile? Or is this because the companies have merged?! There doesn’t seem to be any way to contact them for help :(

Hi, I purchased it from the iD online website- I have reference numbers etc. (mobile no., service user no., Customer no., transaction number etc.) if any of that will help? I ordered it on Tuesday 8th July & it was delivered Friday 11th July via Royal Mail.

However I have since had a closer look this afternoon at the envelope it arrived in, and it says that it was sent from Carphone Warehouse, so now I’m really worried! Maybe someone could see online I was looking for a new mobile contract & took out a vodafone one for themselves using my details…?!

I ordered it nearly a week ago now, I have been completely unable to use it, I can’t contact anyone directly so days are passing where I’m paying for a contract I can’t use, I’m worried if I put the sim card in my phone it’ll be tantamount to signing up to a second ‘Vodafone’ contract, what I received (a Vodafone sim) was not what I was expecting, nor was there any information to explain why it would be Vodafone branded, and now I’m worried my details may have been compromised, as I don’t know why else I would receive a sim card from Carphone Warehouse!? 

So far my experience with iD mobile has been a complete disaster & I’m quickly losing any faith or trust in iD as a company/ brand. I was quite happy before to try one of the ‘not so main’ providers (Three, Vodafone, O2, EE etc.

Please can someone help me asap as I need my phone up & working- I am paying for a service you’re not currently providing, afterall! And I’d like to have faith in the company too.

Please let me know if there are any more details you need.
