voicemail pin refused

I have been trying to set up voicemail but every pin I try is unacceptable. They have been been mostly 4 or 6 numbers which would mean something to me but not simple things like  1234 etc.  What am I doing wrong.

Hey @Alan Graham,

Are you still experiencing issues? I just set up a voicemail using my DOB as DDMM and this worked for me. Perhaps try this?

Thanks.

Thank you @Chris_L. Have you also tried the following?

1. Changing Your PIN (If possible):

  • If you can access voicemail but are having trouble with a specific PIN, you can change it.
  • Instructions: Dial 123, then press 2, then press 1 to change your PIN. You will be prompted to enter your new PIN twice.

2. Clearing Phone App Cache/Storage:

  • If you're still having trouble, try clearing the cache and storage for the Phone app.

3. Resetting network settings

  • For most Android; Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth (Resetting network settings will NOT reset any personal data (Photos, Videos, Contacts etc) only network settings.)

Thanks,

Tyler

Good morning Tyler,

I apreciate your help. I've finally managed to get it working - the issue was that I forgot to press the # key after entering my new PIN. Given the feedback from others, I think it would be helpful to implement a check to ensure users confirm with # before receiving a message about the PIN being invalid. I realize now that I should have listened more attentively. Hopefully, this information can assist others facing the same voicemail setup issues.

Cheers,

Chris
