updated contract

I’ve recently upgraded to a new phone, it has arrived with a new sim that has a different number.  On the app there also isn’t any new update to plan. I am very confused as I upgraded using the app, I didn’t just buy a new plan. I’m also not being charged for my updated plan I’m still being charged for my old plan.
