Want to experience crystal-clear calls? With iD Mobile’s 4G Calling (VoLTE), you can make high-quality calls over the 4G network.
What is 4G (VoLTE) Calling?
4G Calling (also known as VoLTE or Voice over LTE) lets you make calls using the 4G network, rather than switching down to 3G or 2G. This brings several benefits:
- Clearer Audio: Calls sound richer and more natural.
- Faster Connection: Calls connect almost instantly.
- Multitasking: You can stay on 4G while on a call, meaning you can still browse the web, use maps, or watch videos at high speeds while talking.
Does it cost extra?
No. Even though it uses the 4G network, 4G Calling comes out of your monthly minutes allowance, not your data allowance. If you have unlimited minutes, it won't cost you a penny.
What is the difference between 4G Calling and Wi-Fi Calling?
- Wi-Fi Calling uses a Wi-Fi connection to make calls. It's perfect for when you are indoors with poor mobile signal but have good Wi-Fi.
- 4G Calling uses the mobile network. It's perfect for when you are out and about.
Ideally, you should leave both enabled. Your phone will seamlessly switch between them to give you the best possible signal.
