new contracts cheaper than upgrades?

I have just purchased via uSwitch and idmobile a new contract as it was less expensive than the upgrade offers.

I can cancel my existing ID contract but how would I retain my existing number? Pac codes are for a new network or would it work on the new contract.

Worse thing is I have done this for both my wife and mine so I have two numbers to sort out.

    Hi there ​@g6hoq, unfortunately, you cannot transfer your number directly from one iD plan to another. The only way to directly keep your number is to upgrade.

     

    The only other alternative is a triangle port, where you transfer your number from your old plan to a Pay As You Go on another network via PAC code, then transfer it back to us via PAC code to the new plan.
