Existing customer wanting to transfer from 24 month pay-monthly contract (including handset + plan) to 1 month SIM-only contract (paying for allowance only) with same phone and number (but also need to update account details as account holder is in a parents name)

Hi @Dan7391

In relation to the first half question.  If you have the iD Mobile account registered with us, then once that 24-months is officially up you will be able to log in to your iD Mobile account and look at doing a Plan Change in there.

Instead of a new 24-month contract, simply select one of the 30-day rolling SIM-only plans.

Unfortunately a name change on an account isn’t something we can assist with though.  As things stand, when an account is setup in someones name, a credit check is run on that individual and we can’t transfer that over to someone else.
Technically speaking.  If you signed up for your own NEW iD Mobile SIM-only contract.

You could theoretically get a PAC code on the old iD Mobile account.  Move that over to another network (on a simply Pay as You GO SIM with a different provider).  Then you could move that number from the other network over to iD Mobile on the new account you’ve set up.

It’s a slightly long winded process but it would mean you get to keep your old number, but have your own name on the new tariff.

If you have further questions though, just ask.

Why iD Mobile?
