Keeping my number when moving to a new deal on ID

Instead of upgrading from a SIM only deal to a monthly contract on ID I just started a new order and cancelled my SIM only. However I’m having trouble keeping my old number as when I enter the PAC code it says it cannot be used to switch from an ID number to another ID number. What can I do?

Unfortunately, it isn't possible to transfer numbers between iD accounts.

If you would like to keep your number you would need to process a plan change or upgrade, rather than purchasing a new deal.

If a new deal has been purchased a new iD number will be assigned.
