upgrade to sim only

I am at the end of a 24 month contract so i can upgrade, when i go onto my upgrade page one of the options is to change to a sim only plan.

Is this actually an option, as the information seems to be confusing.

If it is  an option will i be able to just buy that new sim only plan and keep the same number etc?

Now that you have come to the end of your 24-month agreement, you can indeed upgrade to a SIM-only plan if you prefer.

As you are upgrading you will keep your number, once you have selected your new plan we’ll amend your tariff.

We sometimes send a new SIM in case your phone needs a new size.

All you need to do is register your new SIM once received, this can be done via your account online, via the iD Mobile app. 


It's as simple as that.
