Gift Card

Just been browsing through the available upgrades available for my SIM only plan. Some of them mention they offer a £10/35/50 gift card but no information as to what they are or where they can be used. Tried asking live chat who just say they don’t offer any, but clearly they do.

 

Anyone have any information?

You might be looking at iD Mobile products offered by iD Mobile affiliates, ​@m_beckett

If you do want to keep your existing mobile number, make sure you follow the official iD Mobile upgrade process. 

Otherwise, discuss your upgrade options with the iD Mobile telephone sales team, by calling 020 7139 1397 - the sales advisers are available 9am - 6pm.

Nope. I’ve seen them both through their app and through their website.

Are you able to select the tab where it shows the gift card? If so, does it provide any additional information?

No nothing happens when I try and select it or any of the gift card offers on any of the upgrade plans.

Just be mindful every single time you jump through this new hoop and you click back the app crashes with the “Sorry, you have been blocked You are unable to access idmobile.co.uk”

edit if you’re not aware when the app puts the security shutters down you have to force close the app

Well the app redirects to the website within the app so it’s a site issue in any case to my mind.

 

In any case if it’s a Curry’s gift card you’re the first helpful person to answer my question so thank you for that.

Yep, its how they redirect from their app to idmobile.co.uk and when we click back it causes the block prompt🙄.

You can also get the same block screen if you start on Wi-Fi (whilst using the app) and go out of range to mobile data and then back to Wi-Fi or vice versa (I know the wifi to data hiccup is caused by the IP address changing and their system would see this change)

Anyway, if you ever see the block message just force close the app.

Happy to help - though they made it ‘fun’ to find….🤐
