How do I know an upgrade has been successfully processed?

I have selected an upgrade via the ID mobile website. I made it all the way to confirmation page and the upfront payment has been taken but no confirmation email. Normally I would expect an email confirmation for most web transactions. When I log into my account I am still being offered upgrades despite an upgrade in process.

If somebody on ID mobile side could confirm the order was fully successful that would be great

Thanks

Hi @Pauly1207

I’d recommend allowing up to 24 hours as @WelshPaul suggests, it may still be processing, keep an eye on the app and on your emails.

I chose an upgrade with an upfront fee. ID Mobile took this fee twice, in effect making the second 'payment' theft by them. How can I get in touch with these shysters to get my money back?

Are these payments showing as pending on you card/bank statement?

Hey there @Andrew Pattinson, we’re sorry to hear that. Have both payments been taken officially from your bank, or are they both or one pending still?

Thanks,

Tyler

One is still pending. However this is still theft as the amount has been taken from my available balance. What is the solution? Don't say cancel the payment as it will undoubtedly become an issue with ID because they don't have any recall for their customers, they rely on sh1t like this. No phone number, no email, no chat facility, just theft. Taking money without authorisation. What is the solution and what recourse do I have against ID Mobile stealing my money?

I am taking screenshots of this by the way. If you people are from ID Mobile then the very fact you have to ask this shows that you have no idea or control over the money taking and therefore shouldn't be responding. If you aren't ID Mobile then why aren't they responding? I'm going out on a limb here and will state that I believe you are ID Mobile, both of you, both with no knowledge of my situation, both with no option to speak directly with someone, just me having to do YOUR work for you. As the person who has had money stolen. Disgustingly unacceptable. 'Tyler' and 'WelshPaul' - are you ID Mobile employees?

This isn’t iD Mobile taking two payments! I’ve had this happen many times over the years on both my credit cards and my debit cards. It’s the bank/card issuer at fault and not the retailer.

A quick Google search returns the following result:

If you see a payment taken twice, with one transaction showing as pending, it typically indicates an authorization hold rather than a double charge. The pending transaction is an authorization hold placed by your bank to ensure you have enough funds for the transaction. This hold is usually released once the transaction is processed, and the money will be returned to your account within 7 working days.

So they've taken one payment and my 'card issuer' has withheld another payment - and it's nothing to do with the fact that Currys are the recipient of both payments? Oh well, everything's OK then. I'm out of pocket while either the card issuer or ID Mobile sort it out. You clearly work for ID Mobile as you refer to iD Mobile. You have no intention whatsoever of doing anything to give me back the money that has been stolen. Court case initiation in the morning. I did not authorise you to take two payments.

Hi @Andrew Pattinson

I believe @WelshPaul has explained the ‘charges’ above, this sounds like an authorization and not an actual charge.

@WelshPaul is not an employee of iD Mobile, just another member of the public trying to help out, please ensure you stay respectful with everyone here on the community site.
