miss sold a contract!

I was under the impression the contract I was taking out for my son was unlimited data only to find out after a couple of months that it is only 5gb of data?

If you look at the emails iD send you when you ordered, or those just prior to the account going live, do these not say anything about the unlimited data?

 

Does the app/account show 5GB data limit or unlimited?

(the app defaults to showing the Data remaining when you open it)

 

If any info from them states unlimited and you’ve adjusted the phones internal data limiter to unlimited then you’d be better off chatting to iD

They sent me a contact out that I needed to agree to for the contract to go live, this was for a S23 unlimited everything. I agreed to this but didn't hear back from them so called them up and they said that is no longer available but we can offer you the same deal but for the S24. I said yes that would be great they never sent me another contract out just did it over the phone. Now my son said he has no data, so I went on the app and the contract only states 5gb of data allowance. I would have never agreed to this deal if it was 5gb

So direct with iD and they posted out a contract - I never knew they did this!

Were you speaking to them via their sales number 0207 139 1397?

 

I would, tomorrow now as they close at 6pm today, contact them on the link I gave earlier to make sure the contract is only for 5GB. If they confirm it is 5GB you could look at a complaint being as you only had the original S23 with the unlimited data contract.

 

Or was this bought from somewhere like Carphone Warehouse etc.

If you could get that would be great, it seem like trying to speak to someone over the phone is really hard work.
