Have you discussed your upgrade options with the iD Telephone Sales team, @Jonathan Ferguson ?

Speak to a sales adviser on 020 7139 1397, between 9am - 6pm.

Hey there @Jonathan Ferguson, thank you reaching out.

As kindly advised by @MZone, we’d recommend calling our sales team on 020 7139 1397 for upgrade queries, and they can assist further.

Thanks,

Tyler

give them a ring today absolutely no help what so ever give me reasons like its because if its a new contract you need a credit check to pass and new number I was like what has that got to do with up front cost. looks like its become like car insurance always cheaper to switch than is to upgrade

@Jonathan Ferguson

@MZone

@Tyler

I’ve noticed this too, the cost of upgrade is way more expensive than a new deal as a new customer. That isn’t right??

The explanations around credit checks etc should cost more not less, so the argument is the inverse - it should be cheaper to retain existing customers. Also existing customers pose less risk because they have a proven payment record. @Jonathan Ferguson I think you got a Little Britain “computer says no” answer to your question.

I’m going in store to curry’s to see if speaking face to face with a human helps.  If not I will be moving to another provider out of principle, even if it costs more.

What happened to loyalty?

@Jonathan Ferguson call 0300 0037777, they gave me the new customer deal I was after, not the upgrade deal.

Hi @Jonathan Ferguson

Thank you for calling the team and we are sorry to hear they were not able to offer you a suitable deal.

There are incentives for choosing to join iD Mobile as network provider and these are offered to all of our customers at the point of sale. With this being the case, you will have also have benefited from a deal at the time of joining.

Once your contract expires, we will then offer the best available deal for you.

Thanks,

Nat
