Upgrade deals on app not as good as on USwitch

I'm out of contract tomorrow and have found a deal with IDmobile via USwitch. Ideally though I'd just upgrade through the IDmobile app, but the exact same phone is not offered on the same tariff/price. Can I request PAC and give to IDmobile assuming I buy via USwitch, even if I'm already with IDmobile? Thanks

You can’t use a PAC to directly switch a number from one iD account to another iD account, @Claire Kapitan.

A PAC is only valid for switching a number from one service provider to a different service provider.

@Claire Kapitan ignore what @andewhite said above it is certainly possible and not that tricky to port your number from one ID account to another see the link below in how to do this with zero issues.

Thanks for sharing @Mark Wither - hopefully @Claire Kapitan finds the information useful.

Have you ever done a ‘double-port’ @Mark Wither - if so how long did it take?

Thanks @Mark Wither - is it really that quick?

  • If I ask iD for a PAC today (Tuesday), and use the PAC before 5pm today, my number would switch tomorrow (Wednesday).
Most UK networks can’t issue a PAC until the day after your port is completed.
  • Next step - I get a PAC from my new provider, for the number I’m keeping, on Thursday, and then submit my new PAC to iD on Thursday, before 5pm.
  • 4-days later, finally back with iD on Friday some time before 10pm.
